KARACHI: The metrological office predicted light and heavy showers for Frontier, northern areas of Punjab and Kashmir during next 24 hours.

According to met office Lahore, heavy and light showers with thunderbolt could hit scattered places of Frontier, northern areas of Punjab and Kashmir.

The met office also predicted rain for Karachi, coastal areas of Makran and some divisions of DG Khan.

The low air pressure of westerly winds is present over northern areas of the country. A seasonal low air pressure is also present over Balochistan and adjoining areas.

The rain recorded in different areas of country during last 24 hours was Landhi 147 mm, Gulshan-e- Hadded 120 mm, Faisal Base 74 mm, University Road 70 mm, airport 69 mm, Masroor Base 33 and north Karachi 24 mm in Karachi, Murre 106 mm, Palendari 47, Thatta 41 mm, Bahawalpur and Bhawalnagar 28 mm each, Bannu 25 mm, Chakkri 12 mm, Rawlakot 11, Mianwali and Kohat 10 mm each, Hyderabad 8, Islamabad 9, Sialkot 7, Badeen 6 and Lahore 5 mm.
